    Mobile web searching increases

Articles posted today re: mobile web usage in the UK seem to indicate a
massive increase in searches done via mobile phones. A 247% increase
    to be exact.

One article actually puts the bulk of the "credit" at the feet of the Android
    mobile operating system. True?

Not clear. A closer look at the original article uses the same figure of 247%
but introduces a few caveats such as mobile traffic only accounting for 3%
of overall Internet use. The original figures also give some credit to Android
but specifically indicates that the intro of Apple's iPad is very much
responsible for "steep increases in mobile Internet use".

While a pragmatic approach can be taken in deciding where credit is due
(and to the definition of "steep"), one thing is clear: however fast, and by
how much, mobile internet use is growing - it IS growing.

Which begs another question for online businesses: is your website
    mobile-friendly yet?
